"This could be an oxygen tank or hydrogen tank of an airborne device that fell to the ground due to a technical problem," the initial conclusion stated.
At the meeting, representatives of the Military Region 2 Command and the Military Command of Tuyen Quang province requested local authorities to disseminate information so that people can grasp clear information and avoid confusion and misunderstanding.
Currently, the Military Command of Tuyen Quang province has moved the object to a safe place to wait for the authorities to have a specific conclusion.
Also on the morning of January 3, people discovered that Mr. Dang Van Canh (22 years old, An Luong commune, Van Chan, Yen Bai) picked up a strange gray, spherical object lying on a pebble beach near the stream bank, about 200m from Mr. Canh's house.
When the commune People's Committee leaders arrived, Mr. Canh was preparing to sell the object for scrap metal, so they persuaded him to hand over the ball. Afterwards, the commune People's Committee asked the Van Chan district military team to verify and clarify.
The sphere is about 30cm in diameter and weighs about 6kg, has an open valve and is partly dented from hitting a rock and showing signs of being exposed to high temperatures.
