The first person to take the stage to share his work, experience and achievements was professional military Captain Tran Vu Hop - Director of the Research and Development Center, Radar Institute (Viettel Research and Development Institute, Military Telecommunications Group).

He said that 4 years ago, he received an extremely difficult and new task, which was to design and manufacture a low-altitude decimeter-wave radar station. This is a completely new field of research in Vietnam. Professional soldier Captain Tran Vu Hop himself did not have much knowledge in this field. After a process of hard work, when the test was not as expected, he and his teammates went back to the beginning to clearly identify the nature of the remaining problem.

From those efforts, after 4 years of determination to learn, grasp technology and research and manufacture, he and his teammates have successfully completed the assigned task. That is, successfully manufacturing a low-altitude surveillance radar station with decimeter wave band currently used by the army.

This success has made Vietnam one of the 9 countries with the most modern airspace management capacity in the world. Captain Tran Vu Hop shared: “We are happy to have completed the assigned task and surpassed our own limits. The completion of the manufacture of the low-altitude decimeter-wave radar station is entirely based on domestic resources, bearing the brand name “made in Vietnam”, I am proud to have done that”.

Leaving a deep impression in the exchange session was the story of Colonel Nguyen Van Huy - Captain of the Martyrs' Grave Collection Team (Political Department, Military Region 2). For nearly 10 years of trekking through forests and streams, Colonel Nguyen Van Huy and his teammates searched for, recovered and collected the remains of 261 Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who died in Laos.

Colonel Nguyen Van Huy shared about the thousands of long days and endless nights in the deep forests of Laos. “At night, lying in the middle of the forest, listening to the deer calling their herds in the thick darkness, we could not sleep. We thought about your loved ones, back home, how many mothers were anxiously waiting to welcome their sacrificed children back. Many mothers, when they passed away, could not fulfill their wishes. How heartbreaking!

The war has been over for a long time, all information about the resting places of our heroes has been erased, as the terrain and topography have changed so much compared to before, most of the witnesses are old or no longer around. If we do not make efforts to overcome difficulties, many of our fathers and brothers, many of our comrades will have to lie in the wild, cold forests of our neighboring countries, unable to return to their homeland, their comrades, and their beloved motherland.

We will continue to go, continue to search and bring the martyrs' remains back to the country. Because that is not only the responsibility assigned by the Party and the Army, but also the cultural tradition, the sacred morality of "remembering the source of water when drinking" of the nation" - Colonel Nguyen Van Huy shared.

Love for the homeland and country seems to be the driving force, shining brightly in the achievements of each officer and soldier. In this honoring ceremony, the Nghe An Provincial Military Command was honored to have the presence of Colonel Vuong Kim Hai - Political Commissar of the Provincial Military Command. Over the years, he has always been proactive, dedicated, and thoughtful in making proposals, advising and organizing many effective and practical models of activities, aiming at the lives, aspirations and wishes of the people in the province.

For example, the activity of giving national flags to fishermen. He directed the establishment of a youth shock team to mobilize fishermen to hang national flags and raise donations, and coordinate with coastal localities to organize monthly giving of national flags and gifts to fishermen. Thanks to that, up to now, the Nghe An Provincial Military Command has given more than 10,000 national flags and hundreds of gifts to fishermen.

In recent years, Colonel Vuong Kim Hai and his teammates have identified specific and practical "spearheads" for mass mobilization, such as collecting leftover food in units, helping women in religious areas raise livestock to escape poverty; saving from increased production to contribute to improving meals for orphans and disabled children in Bo Son Parish; actively helping people build new rural roads...

At the exchange and honoring ceremony, there were also many typical examples of progress in various fields. Since 2013, the Central Military Commission (Ministry of National Defense) launched the campaign "Promoting tradition, dedicating talent, worthy of Uncle Ho's soldiers". Up to now, the entire army has had 26 collectives and individuals awarded the title of Hero of the Armed Forces, Hero of Labor in the renovation period by the Party and State;

703 collectives were awarded the Government's Emulation Flag, the Ministry of National Defense's Emulation Flag, 11 National Emulation Soldiers... The shining achievements in daily life further affirm the love, trust and pride that the people have placed in Uncle Ho's soldiers in the new era.
