Arsenal have finally ended their nine-year trophy drought.

GOAL

Arsenal: Cazorla (17'), Koscielny (71'), Ramsey (109')

Hull: Chester (4'), Davies (9')

Arsenal took to the pitch at Wembley with a starting lineup featuring five attacking players: Ramsey, Cazorla, Ozil, Podolski, and Giroud. However, before they could put pressure on their opponents, the Gunners were dealt a blow. Just nine minutes into the game, goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski's net had already been breached twice. Both goals came from crosses from the flanks into the center. The goalscorers for Hull City were defenders James Chester and Curtis Davies.

The two early goals dampened the Gunners' attacking moves. Their subsequent attacks were rather predictable and lacked creativity. In this context, Arsenal could only rely on set pieces. In the 17th minute, Santi Cazorla unleashed a superb free-kick that sent the ball flying high, leaving goalkeeper Allan McGregor helpless.

This equalizer somewhat revived the fighting spirit of the Arsenal players. But it wasn't until the second half that the Gunners' attacks became more effective, after manager Arsene Wenger brought Yaya Sanogo on to replace Lukas Podolski. The strength and excellent dribbling ability of the young French striker breathed new life into their attacking moves.

In that fiercely attacking display, Arsenal did not receive support from referee Lee Probert. The referee ignored two penalties for the Gunners, particularly the clearly-blank handball by Jake Livermore inside the box. However, Arsenal's tireless efforts were finally rewarded when Laurent Koscielny scored from close range to equalize 2-2. Arsenal could have settled the match within the 90 minutes of regular time if Kieran Gibbs hadn't missed a golden opportunity, shooting over the bar from close range.

Arsenal ultimately secured the victory when Aaron Ramsey scored the winning goal in the 109th minute. The Welsh midfielder produced a lightning-fast, exquisite finish after a backheel pass from Giroud. This goal gave Arsenal a 3-2 win and their first title in nine years.
