At the meeting, the Board of Directors encouraged Chairman Vo Thanh Nhiem to continue his duties, but Mr. Nhiem refused and hoped that his resignation letter would be accepted. Therefore, the Board of Directors approved Mr. Vo Thanh Nhiem's ​​resignation letter and appointed Mr. Nguyen Mon as the temporary Acting Chairman of Long An Club until the end of the first phase of the 2017 season.

It should be added that Mr. Nguyen Mon previously spent time with Dong Tam Long An football team under coach Calisto, so he is quite knowledgeable about football. Therefore, football people in Long An believe that Mr. Nguyen Mon can do well in the role of acting chairman.
