"Miss Saigon" to be shortlisted for Oscar 2019
The work of Ngo Thanh Van's film studio entered the category "Best Foreign Language Film".
On September 26, the producer announced that the film was sent by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to the 91st Oscars. Ngo Thanh Van hopes the film will make its mark on the international market.
According to the rules of the Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film, each country will submit one entry. Foreign films participating in the Oscar must be shown between October 1, 2017 and September 30 this year. The jury will select five nominated films and announce them early next year. The award will be announced at the award ceremony, scheduled to take place on February 24, 2019 in Los Angeles (USA).

In April, the film received the Golden Kite Award for excellent film. When it premiered last year, the film also achieved good revenue - over 60 billion VND.
