10-year-old girl in Tuyen Quang became financially independent from 2nd grade
In second grade, Bao Ngoc thought about the difference in business. After three years of "building a career", she was able to take care of all her own expenses.
In the program "Little Big Shots" aired on the evening of December 2, Bao Ngoc, a 5th grade student at Phan Thiet Primary School (Tuyen Quang) made many people admire her knowledge and passion in business.
Bao Ngoc said that over the past three years, she has sold many things such as pomelo tea, books and toys. Among them, pomelo tea was the product that started her business as a 10-year-old girl.
Like other business people, Ngoc had difficulty with capital from the beginning. She decided to borrow interest from her mother to open an online store. "This is a store that I sell and own all by myself," Ngoc said, affirming that her parents did not invest in or manage this store.
To differentiate herself from other pomelo sweet soup shops, she thought a lot. She realized that the original name of the shop was not suitable, making people think that the pomelo sweet soup here was normal, so she changed it to a more attractive name, "Broken pomelo sweet soup".
"I think this name is quite interesting, it makes customers curious and they visit my sales page," Ngoc said, adding that on days with few customers, she sells about 50 cups of tea, and on days with many customers like holidays, she sells 400 cups.
Anyone who wants to do business effectively must have a specific strategy. Every time he launches a new product, Bao Ngoc creates a business map with the main branches being ideas, plans, methods, importing goods, communication and sales.
Each major branch includes many small ideas. For example, about planning, you think about how to get capital, time, and location to sell; or about importing goods, you have to find suppliers and research market prices to decide on a competitive price for your products.
After three years of selling, Ngoc has enough money to live independently. Her wallet always has more than one million. Talking about how to manage money, Ngoc said she always divides the money she earns into six parts. 50% of it is for essential needs such as food and living expenses. The rest is for education, financial freedom, helping people in difficult circumstances and long-term savings.
The girl from Tuyen Quang affirms that the most important thing in business is passion. "You have to absolutely love it to do it well," Ngoc said.
I admire billionaire Jack Ma with his saying: "Today is difficult, tomorrow is more difficult, but the day after tomorrow will be wonderful", or Bill Gates' saying: "If you are born poor, it is not your fault, but if you die poor, it is your fault".
