Only 14 years old, but a girl from China is currently unable to hold her neck high because of the habit of using her phone all day.

After taking an X-ray of the girl from Qingdao city (Shandong province, China), doctors concluded that her cervical spine was deformed and she could not hold her head up, according to China News Service.

This is a common disease in people over 50 years old when bones and joints begin to degenerate, causing patients to often have pain and dizziness.

Using the phone too much left a girl with a permanent neck injury.

The girl’s father (a businessman) said that his daughter uses her phone too much, at school and at home, especially before going to bed and after waking up. She likes to watch live videos and play simple but addictive games.

South China Morning Post reported that currently, doctors can only provide treatments to reduce the symptoms of the disease, but cannot cure it permanently. The female student is only allowed to use her phone for a maximum of 2 hours a day, otherwise the condition will get worse.

The doctor also informed that a boy (10 years old) could not walk normally due to being "addicted" to the phone.

According to experts, parents should strictly control their children's time using electronic devices to avoid unfortunate incidents.

Because living habits greatly affect the development of children's skeletal system. In addition to neck damage, many children can suffer from hunchback and scoliosis due to overuse of phones, iPads or incorrect sitting posture.
