Kinh bride returns to Mong village to become Party cell secretary
(Baonghean.vn) - Ms. Dau Thi Lich overcame prejudices and customs to build a happy home with a Mong ethnic man.Ly Ba DoMoreover, Ms. Lich has become the Party Secretary of the Mong village..
The spacious house of Ms. Lich's family is located at the beginning of Hop Thanh village, Xa Luong commune (Tuong Duong), with quite complete living facilities inside. After temporarily stopping rice milling, Ms. Dau Thi Lich (born in 1980) talked about her youth: "After finishing junior high school, in 1995, I followed my grandmother from Cua Rao 1 village to open a grocery store here. At that time, the whole village only had one store, so it was very crowded. Young people in the village often came to visit, among them, Mr. Ly Ba Do (born in 1974) - my husband now - came regularly and stayed the longest."
Then love ripened like a peach in the summer sun, giving off a fragrant scent. Both families strongly objected. Ly Ba Do's parents did not want a Kinh daughter-in-law, because she would not follow the customs of the family, of the family and of the village. Lich's family did not want their son-in-law to be a Mong boy, because this was a community that often lived separately with different customs. Despite everyone's objections, the young couple was determined to be together. One day in the middle of Spring 1997, the people of Cua Rao 1 and Hop Thanh villages witnessed an unprecedented wedding: a Kinh girl became a daughter-in-law of the Mong village.
