Fans who shot flares at Hang Day Stadium were arrested.
Hanoi Dong Da District Police are detaining Vu Trung Truc, a supporter of Nam Dinh Football Club, on charges of disturbing public order.
Truc, 35 years old, is a fan of Nam Dinh football team.
On September 16, Dong Da District Police said that Truc confessed that on September 11, he brought two parachute flares and 18 flares (purchased online) to Hanoi to cheer for the match between Hanoi FC and Nam Dinh FC.
While gathering in Nam Dinh, Truc gave three flares to three people and sold six to another fan.

On the way, Truc lit some flares, kept two parachute flares and four flares hidden in loudspeakers and brought them into Hang Day Stadium. At about 20:10 (56th minute of the match), from stand B, Truc lit the flares and directed the flight across the field to stand A.
The firecracker fired by Truc fell on fan Huyen Anh, causing her to suffer sulfur burns to her bones and will have to undergo two surgeries. Knowing that someone was injured, Truc fled.
According to authorities, after Truc fired the flares, many Nam Dinh fans continued to light flares in the B stands. When the riot police dispersed, some people attacked the police, injuring two officers.
Among them, Tran Dac Chuong (18 years old, from Nam Dinh) used his hand to hit and kicked a riot police officer three times at the entrance to gate number 13 of stand B.
Chuong is currently being detained on charges of resisting a public official.
