In recent seasons, the Song Lam Nghe An Supporters' Association in the South did not organize activities to cheer for the Nghe An team when they competed in the southern provinces.

They said the cause was the indifferent attitude of the home team players, along with the lack of attention from the sponsors to the team.

Many fans stopped coming to the stadium when their team played in the South; many Nghe An people even switched to supporting Ha Tinh - the neighboring team on the same bank of the Lam River!

Nghe An fans are famous for being the most enthusiastic football fans in Vietnam. Every time Song Lam Nghe An plays at Thong Nhat Stadium (Ho Chi Minh City) or Go Dau Stadium (Binh Duong Province), the fan club always "gilds" the CD stands to create a miniature Vinh Stadium. However, this image has not appeared for a long time.

According to information from the Fan ClubLam River Nghe AnThe Southern fan club shared: 'Over the past 3 years, the "fire pans" of Thanh Vinh in foreign lands have "cooled down" for many reasons. However, putting aside their worries, the Southern fan club will return to "fuel" the Nghe warriors, who have been and are steadfastly fighting for relegation.

Accordingly, the Southern Fans Association will prepare more than 500 flags, drums, trumpets, colorful banners... and a parade throughout Binh Duong. On February 22, the sounds of drums, trumpets, songs, and flags will fly again on Go Dau Stadium... All for the beloved hometown team.

In the upcoming match, coach Phan Nhu Thuat and his team will certainly play with dedication to respond to the fans' affection. However, to have a good result in V-League, it is not only necessary for the determination and attitude of the players, but also requires proper investment from sponsors, attention from local leaders, and more importantly, a common voice from sponsors to fans.
