Girl struggles with handbag thief on the street
On the way home at dawn, the girl was knocked off her bike by Duong who tried to steal her bag but failed.
On January 12, District 9 Police (HCMC) detained Mai Thanh Duong (34 years old, from Kien Giang) to investigate the act of robbery.

Early three days ago, Duong drove his motorbike around District 9, looking for "prey" to rob. Seeing Ms. Thuy (28 years old) alone, he followed her from Long Phuoc intersection to Long Thuan intersection, and when they reached a deserted section, he overtook her and knocked her motorbike over.
Duong rushed to grab the bag but Ms. Thuy grabbed it and shouted for help. He waved his hand to threaten to hit her. They struggled for a while but she did not let go. Afraid that passersby would find out, the robber got on his motorbike and drove away.
The victim reported to the police, providing the license plate number and Duong's appearance. Detectives tracked down and arrested the suspect.
