Mountain girl cheats on labor export to America

On September 16, Nam Tu Liem District Police (Hanoi) announced that they had prosecuted suspect Hoang Thi Nhung (20 years old, in Bao Thang District, Lao Cai) to investigate the crime.Fraudulent appropriation of property.

Around March, Nhung went to Hanoi to find a job and met a fellow countryman working in the field of labor export. He was instructed on how to consult and receive customer applications, and received 10 million VND in "commission".

In early July, Nhung used a Facebook account to post on groups with the content: "Recruiting workers to go to Korea, Japan... cheap, no need to learn foreign languages, no qualifications required" along with his personal phone number.

She introduces herself as Nhung, "the boss's secretary", when contacted. She then consults and asks customers to submit documents and deposit money.

A female customer named Lai contacted Nhung to complete the procedures to export labor to the US for 23,000 USD/file, depositing 2,000 USD in advance. Thinking that the 10 million VND commission was "not worth it", along with seeing that Ms. Lai was easy to trust, Nhung had the idea to take advantage of her.

From July 25 to August 13, Nhung received four sets of documents, along with a deposit of 139 million VND, by receiving them directly and sending them by express mail. She then threw away the documents, deleted her Facebook account and phone number, and cut off all contact.

After many unsuccessful attempts to contact the police, the victim went to the police station to report. But he turned himself in.

The police agency requests that anyone who is still a victim of Nhung come forward to report, so that this suspect can be dealt with before the law.
