Thanh Chuong girl honored at beauty night 'Miss Kinh Bac 2017'

(Baonghean.vn) - With the contemporary dance "My Mother", the only girl from Nghe An province in the contest excelled over many other beauties to win the "Talented Beauty" award in the final night of "Beauty of Kinh Bac - 2017".

It has been 3 days since the contest "Miss Kinh Bac - 2017" ended, but beauty queen Nguyen Thi Ly (22 years old), from block 6, Dung town, Thanh Chuong district, still has not calmed down from the feeling of excitement like the moment she heard the organizers announce the winner of the "Talented Beauty" award.

Speaking over the phone, the beauty queen from Nghe An said: “In the final night, I felt my performance was quite good, but the other two contestants also performed well, so I was a bit surprised when I won. I am very happy because my efforts and hard work over the past time have yielded good results.”

Ly is currently a 4th year student, Faculty of Tourism and Travel Services Management, Hanoi College of Tourism. Due to a period of internship, working as a collaborator for Havis Event Company, Ly learned about this competition and decided to try it.

This is not the first time Ly has participated in a beauty contest. While still in high school, Ly won first prize in the Miss Bach Ma Temple contest (2012) organized by Thanh Chuong District Youth Union (Nghe An). During her university years, before participating in the Miss Kinh Bac contest organized by Bac Ninh Provincial Youth Union, Ly competed in the Miss Hanoi Student contest (2016) organized by the Hanoi City Youth Union.

In the final night of “Beauty of Kinh Bac”, with the contemporary dance “My Mother”, the only girl from Nghe An province of the contest excelled over many other outstanding beauties to win the “Talented Beauty” award. Talking about the recent contest, Ly shared: "The contest has brought me many things, not only titles and awards, but more importantly, I have been able to travel to many places, meet many people, understand more about life, have more confidence in myself, and make many new friends. Those are all valuable lessons and experiences".

In Ly’s family, no one is in the arts, but Ly has a talent for dancing. Everyone in the family supports and encourages Ly to participate in beauty contests. Ly said that the “Talented Beauty” award is a stepping stone for her to try harder.Ly said that at home, her siblings and friends often call her by the affectionate nickname “Pig Ly”. “Because I was born in the year of the Pig, everyone calls me that, not because I am lazy” – Ly explained. At school, her friends often call her the beauty queen, but the beauty from Nhut still likes her funny nickname “Pig Ly” the most.

Although he is studying Tourism Service Management, Ly’s long-time dream is to be a TV MC. With a photogenic face and a cute voice, Ly is trying to improve her foreign language skills and practice her skills… to pursue her burning dream.
