It must be said that Nhu Giang has overcome many difficulties to pursue the sport she loves. In particular, this 15-year-old girl has to fight with heart disease. When performing underwater, Nhu Giang's heart is under great pressure.

In a recent TV show, Nhu Giang shared that coming to artistic swimming was fate. "Since the age of 3, Nhu Giang has practiced ballet. By the time she was preparing to enter the dance school, Giang had gone in two parallel directions and decided to switch to artistic swimming," Nhu Giang said. It is quite special because no one in Nhu Giang's family is in the sports profession.

Nhu Giang said she and her teammates had to overcome challenges in synchronized swimming, especially the diving test. In addition, they also overcame injuries to pursue the sport they love.

"If you pursue sports, you must not be afraid, you must conquer challenges. Only then will you feel glorious when you achieve success," Nhu Giang shared.

Regarding her heart disease, Nhu Giang shared: "At first, my family did not know I had a heart disease. It was not until I had a chance to go to Japan for training when I was in 5th grade. On the day of my health check-up, I found out I had a heart disease."

"This disease makes blood circulation more difficult and can lead to fainting. I also have signs of difficulty breathing when practicing," Nhu Giang shared. After that, Nhu Giang had to postpone her training trip to Japan to have heart surgery.

After the surgery, Nhu Giang said she still had some after-effects, which was an irregular heartbeat, so she often had to wear an electrocardiogram monitor when going to school. However, that could not stop Nhu Giang from pursuing her passion. "I am not afraid of any exercise. I am only afraid that I am not persistent enough to pursue my passion," Nhu Giang said.

Regarding the medal won in Russia, Nhu Giang modestly shared: "I think it was a stroke of luck. Russia develops artistic swimming very strongly and they are also world champions. When I entered the competition, I thought I had no chance with these people. I just competed to see how strong I was."

"When we received the news that we won the Bronze Medal, my team and I were overwhelmed. Because no one thought we would win a medal. It was a stroke of luck and also a success that I will always remember," Nhu Giang confided.

During her career, Nhu Giang also won the Silver Medal in the 11-12 age group at the 2019 Singapore Open Artistic Swimming Championship. This is the first individual Silver Medal of Vietnamese artistic swimming at an international tournament.

In addition, Nhu Giang also won the Gold Medal at the 2018 National Club Artistic Swimming Championship./.
