SVT television quoted several police sources as saying: "A bag containing explosives was found in the truck that carried out the terrorist attack in Stockholm."

Police have arrested two suspects following the attack, one of whom has been identified as a terrorist suspect. No terrorist group has claimed responsibility.

On the afternoon of April 7, a stolen truck plowed into a crowd on a busy pedestrian street in the capital Stockholm, killing at least four people and seriously injuring many others. Swedish President Stefan Lofven said the incident was likely an act of terrorism.
