(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of July 3, at Thanh Chuong town, Nghe An National Assembly delegates including Mr. Tran Huu Tuat - Deputy Commander of Military Region IV; Ms. Le Thi Tam - President of the Provincial Women's Union met with voters of Dai Dong cluster, including Thanh Ngoc, Thanh Dong, Dong Van communes and the town. Also participating in the meeting were leaders of Thanh Chuong district.

At the meeting with voters, Mr. Tran Huu Tuat announced the results of the 7th session of the 13th National Assembly. Next, voters expressed their thoughts and aspirations. The issue that many voters mentioned was China's placement of the Haiyang Shiyou 981 drilling rig in Vietnam's exclusive economic zone and continental shelf. Voters expressed their confidence that the Party and the National Assembly will have the right direction and policies in the fight against China's violations of international law in the East Sea, resolutely protecting the sovereignty, independence and peace of Vietnam's territory.
Voters recommended that the Party, the National Assembly, and the State take effective measures to make the fight against corruption more effective. They should pay attention to implementing the policy of increasing benefits for the elderly; speed up the review of policy beneficiaries and meritorious people. In addition, voters also mentioned many issues under the jurisdiction of the Provincial and District People's Councils.
At the end of the meeting with voters, delegate Le Thi Tam received and explained a number of issues of concern to voters and promised to fully summarize voters' proposals and send them to the National Assembly, the Government and central ministries and branches for resolution.
