Unlike other chicken farms in the area, Ms. Nga's chicken farm applies a semi-industrial model. The main feed for chickens is 50% mixed bran, 50% corn, brown rice and green vegetables. Photo: QA

To establish "order" for the chicken flock, the feeder is made into separate compartments. This design prevents chickens from fighting over food or biting each other, which affects their growth. Photo: QA

To create a suitable environment for egg-laying chickens, the outside cage system is surrounded by a green tree system, and in the summer, on hot days, there is also a cooling water spray system on the roof. Photo: QA

In particular, to stimulate digestion, help chickens "relax" and lay more eggs, Ms. Nga also installed a music speaker system. Every morning and afternoon, when the chickens are eating, melodious music is played. According to Ms. Nga: "I saw dairy farms letting cows listen to music, so I also tried letting the chickens listen to music and found it very effective."Photo: QA

Also from this unique way of raising, on average, each day Ms. Nga's family's chicken farm collects 450 - 500 eggs, mainly imported for schools and restaurants in Quy Hop. With a selling price of 3,000 - 3,500 VND/egg, after deducting expenses, it brings Ms. Nga's family a profit of nearly 10 million VND/month. Not to mention, after 10-12 months of laying hens, Ms. Nga has an additional source of income from commercial chickens when replacing mother hens. Egyptian super egg chickens are purchased by traders at a price of 90,000 - 100,000 VND/kg. Not only does the family have more income, Ms. Nga's family's chicken farm also creates jobs for 2-3 local workers, with a salary of 2.5 - 3 million VND/month. Photo: QA
