International cross-cultural photo contest opportunity for Vietnamese youth

Azerbaijan is currently inviting Vietnamese youth to participate in the international photo contest “Intercultural dialogue from the perspective of youth”.

The winners will have the opportunity to receive prizes of 1,000 USD (first prize), 750 USD (second prize) and 500 USD (third prize), and will be supported by the organizers with travel expenses, accommodation, and meals when attending the award ceremony taking place in the capital city of Baku, the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Caucasus region.

This international photo contest is organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Azerbaijan in cooperation with the Ministry of Sports and Tourism of Azerbaijan.

The Azerbaijan Embassy in Vietnam said that the contest is part of the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UAC) Global Forum, which will be held in the capital Baku of Azerbaijan from April 25-27, 2016.

According to the announcement of the Embassy of Azerbaijan, the contest aims to promote the value of cultural differences, tolerance, and mutual understanding, as well as to promote intercultural and interreligious dialogue through the help of photography.

The contest jury will evaluate the submitted photos and select the winning works, including first prize, second prize, and third prize.

The Azerbaijan Embassy said that the photos must focus on education, immigration, and youth media issues based on priorities set by the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations.

All Vietnamese youth aged 14-29 can participate in the contest. Each participant can only submit one photo. If an author submits 2 or more photos, the jury will select only one of them to judge.

According to the instructions of the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Hanoi, candidates in this contest need to send their documents to the email address[email protected]before April 1, 2016. The application includes a single application file and a JPEG image file with a size of 1024x768 and a maximum size of 8MB. (You can find more information on the website: www.unaoc.org).
