Exit International, man organization that supports the right to die byAustralian physician Philip Nitschke founded, introduces a new high-tech suicide machine called Sarco, which aims to help terminally ill people die peacefully and painlessly,News.com.autoday news
The right to die, or the right to euthanasia, is the right to allow people to choose death to end pain and suffering due to illness or other causes.
"Sarco does not use any restricted drugs, nor does it require special expertise such as intravenous injections. Anyone who passes the entrance exam can step into the machine and legally end their life," said Dr. Nitschke.
The Sarco consists of two main parts: a reusable base and a removable, sealed chamber that can be used as a coffin for the patient. Both parts can be 3D printed and assembled anywhere. The team says they will make the design available online for free.
Using the Sarco is simple. Users must first complete an online cognitive test questionnaire to receive a four-digit passcode.
After passing a cognitive test and obtaining a passcode, the patient enters the code to open the Sarco's sealed chamber. Once inside, the user simply closes the lid and waits for the liquid nitrogen to reduce the oxygen level, helping them gradually fall into a gentle sleep.
The entire process takes just a few minutes, and the patient passes away peacefully. Once finished, the sealed chamber can be removed and used as a coffin. The team can then 3D print another chamber and place it back on the base for the next person.
