According to Dr. Hanh, studying and preparing for the national high school graduation exam is a long race, so it requires sustained health and stamina. Adequate energy is essential. Breakfast should include protein (found in meat, fish, beans, and ideally soybeans). Eating protein in the morning is crucial for students. If eating instant noodles, add eggs, minced meat, or vegetables.
You can also have breakfast with sticky rice cakes, steamed rice cakes, homemade rice, sticky rice with beans, bread; there's no need to eat overly expensive dishes. Eating boiled peanuts or chicken eggs is also good...
Protein is a building block of neurotransmitters. Girls who are concerned about their figure and afraid of gaining weight are hesitant to eat. This leads to them forgetting things quickly in school.
Before going to school, you need to read the material beforehand. Reading beforehand helps you get the main idea in your head, so you'll remember it better when the teacher explains. This gives you two opportunities to "get into your head." The first is reading beforehand, the second is the teacher's explanation, and the third is finding additional materials to read. Because many students don't create an outline of their own ideas, when they enter the exam room they think, "This looks so familiar, someone read the first sentence for me and I'll remember everything."
Eggs are good for your brain. When eating eggs, you should cook them thoroughly. Those of you who avoid eggs because you're afraid of failing the exam (like a fertilized duck egg) shouldn't worry. Bananas are also good for your body; they're available year-round and very cheap. Eating these foods will help you avoid failing the exam. Your mothers often cook mung bean sweet soup for you to eat during exam season to pray for success. Beans are also very good for your body, but you need to be careful not to eat too much sugar.
Poor sleep is often due to excessive worry. Take things one day at a time. Ignore everything else and just sleep. You should also exercise. This improves blood circulation and makes you feel more relaxed. You can do moderate to slightly strenuous exercise in the morning, but only light exercise in the evening. Being too hungry or too full also prevents you from sleeping.
When you go to bed, you'll count slowly, slowly, and drift off to sleep. Many students pick up a book and... fall asleep. As for taking medication, I don't recommend taking sleeping pills.
