"A group of 5-6 people with sniffer dogs arrived and announced that they needed to search the cargo hold for prohibited items," Mitrofanov said on the online program of Russia-24 TV channel.
According to the captain, the search lasted "about 5-7 minutes", after which the experts moved on to inspect the technical compartment for 2-3 minutes.
"There was no order for the inspection… nor was there a reason given, I was not told anything," - Mr. Mitrofanov announced.
"I was in the cabin, with the door open, and could only watch in bits and pieces as they acted. I couldn't see everything, couldn't follow as they searched through various compartments.", - added the captain of the plane.
