Experts warn that if you use cooking utensils that are not of guaranteed quality, you may be slowly poisoning your family.

If you look at it with the naked eye, aluminum pots produced from craft villages with waste materials are quite eye-catching. However, they do not know that those poor quality aluminum pots when used for cooking and storing food will be extremely toxic because the chemicals and dirty impurities will dissolve into the food.

Nấu, lưu trữ thức ăn mặn trong nồi nhôm là thói quen cần sớm loại bỏ.
Cooking and storing salty foods in aluminum pots is a habit that should be eliminated soon.

According to the standards set by the Ministry of Health, the lead content in recycled aluminum products is 7mg/kg. If the lead content exceeds this level, it will cause blood thinning, pale skin, and red blood cell destruction in users. At higher levels, they will accumulate in the liver and kidneys, causing cancer, reducing liver function, and in more severe cases, causing acute poisoning...

During the recycling process, because dirty aluminum is also filled with many chemicals and additives, these impurities are easily released during cooking or scrubbing, leaving pits on the walls of pots, pans, kettles... and making the cleaning water dirty black. Storing food in poor quality aluminum pots is very toxic because the chemicals and dirty impurities will dissolve into the food. After a period of exposure, the amount of aluminum accumulated in body tissues can cause severe poisoning such as brain degeneration or bone deformities.

In particular, it can cause damage to the nervous system such as: insomnia, stress, memory loss, dementia, can affect human digestion, prevent bone growth and reduce bone density, cause anemia, reduce liver function... Salty and sour foods will make the metal corrosion process happen faster, making the aluminum surface easily discolored and pitted quickly.

To protect your health and that of your loved ones, when using aluminum utensils in food and drink, you should avoid the following:

- Do not use aluminum containers to store food overnight, do not use to store salty foods such as braised fish, braised meat, sour soup, do not use aluminum containers to pickle vegetables.

- Do not leave pots or pans on the stove for a long time without food. Turn the heat down low, add food, and then gradually increase the heat. Otherwise, the pot or pan will burn, leading to peeling off the protective layer and increased corrosion.

During cooking, if the pot or pan is burnt, do not use hard objects to scrape it off. This can be fixed by adding 10% detergent to water, boiling for about 10 minutes to help the burnt layer peel off, then add cold water and use a soft cloth to clean. Do not use a wire brush or metal scouring pad to scrub or scrape the product as this will erode the aluminum oxide layer on the surface.

- Do not use processed aluminum products that do not meet quality standards. Be careful to choose products with a uniform aluminum oxide coating and good light reflection. Choose products that have been tested for quality and have a clear origin...
