(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of April 22, the Con Cuong District Association for the Promotion of Learning held its 3rd Congress for the 2015-2020 term.

| Overview of the Congress |
Despite being a mountainous district with many socio-economic difficulties, Con Cuong district achieved many positive results in promoting learning and talent development, and building a learning society during the 2009-2014 term, significantly impacting the district's education system.
The Association for the Promotion of Learning, from the district level to the grassroots, has become more effective. From 2009 to the present, the number of members has increased from 10,135 to 11,250, the number of family clans promoting learning has increased from 19 to 37, and the number of branch associations has increased from 116 to 127. Membership card issuance has reached 100%. The Association for the Promotion of Learning closely coordinates with political and social organizations to effectively disseminate the policies of the Party and the State, and to award scholarships to poor students who excel academically. Over the past five years, the entire district has raised nearly 1 billion VND through donations.

The congress also adopted the objectives, directions, tasks, and solutions to improve the effectiveness of the education promotion work and elected the Executive Committee of the Association for the new term 2015-2020.
