Con Cuong: Creating breakthroughs thanks to personnel work

In 2018, the Standing Committee of Con Cuong District Party Committee led, directed and seriously implemented the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws to all grassroots Party organizations, cadres, Party members and people. During the year, the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee had many solutions to lead and direct the building of the Party Committee, associated with building and consolidating the political system from the district to the grassroots level, improving the leadership capacity and fighting strength of the Party organization; eliminating weak Party cells; reducing the number of village and hamlet Party cells at risk of no longer having Party cells according to Project 01 of the Provincial Party Committee; organizing the vote of confidence for positions according to the regulations at the district and grassroots levels.

In 2018, the district transferred 3 district-level department heads and deputy heads to hold key positions such as Party Secretary and Chairman of the People's Committee of communes. Received and appointed 1 commune People's Committee Chairman to work in the district. In particular, Con Cuong District Party Committee also focused on directing the implementation of horizontal rotation of commune-level cadres. Through organizational work, a breakthrough has been made in Party building and government building.

The inspection and supervision program of the Party Committee and the Inspection Committee at two levels was issued promptly, with comprehensive content covering all areas, in accordance with the political tasks of the District Party Committee; 161 Party members and 52 grassroots Party organizations were inspected.

In the economic field, the district achieved and exceeded 24/25 targets. Budget revenue in the district is estimated at 53.8 billion VND - the highest ever. The growth rate in 2018 is estimated at 8.51% over the same period.

Tourism services have developed well, revenue and service quality are increasingly improved. In 2018, there were over 30,000 visitors coming to visit and relax in Con Cuong district. In the area, 7 villages and 2 communes have been built to reach the new rural destination.

On this occasion, the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee awarded the Prime Minister's Certificate of Merit to Ms. Hoang Thi Phuong - former Chief of the District Party Committee Office; presented Certificates of Merit to 5 grassroots Party organizations achieving the title of exemplary Clean and Strong; 2 Party cells under the Party Committee achieving exemplary Clean and Strong for 5 consecutive years, and 5 Party members with many achievements in Party building work.
