Daughter-in-law found father dead in rice field
(Baonghean.vn) - Coincidentally passing through the rice field in front of her house, the daughter-in-law was shocked to discover her father-in-law in the field, dead.
On the evening of April 26, information from the authorities of Quynh Thanh commune (Quynh Luu district) said that a tragic death had just occurred in the commune. The victim was Mr. Tran T. (54 years old), residing in hamlet 11, Quynh Thanh commune.
Mrs. Nguyen Thi Thanh (victim's wife) said: "In the evening, when I came back from the market, I heard my daughter-in-law tell me that I accidentally discovered my father lying motionless in the rice field in front of the house. When I discovered him, he had already stopped breathing."
Some locals said that before the heartbreaking incident, Mr. T. had been drinking. The rice field where the victim’s body was found had a water level of about 30cm.
Many people believe that the victim may have fallen into the rice field due to being drunk, leading to suffocation and death.
It is known that the victim has very special circumstances. Mr. T. himself is crippled and has been squatting for many years. Every month, he only relies on a small amount of subsidy to pay for his medical expenses. The family is poor, and the wife is sick and not very smart, so life is very difficult.
Previously, Mr. T. had fallen into a rice field but was luckily discovered by a neighbor and brought to shore.
