Daughter carries mother's pregnancy, gives birth to younger brother

A British girl gave birth to her own brother while carrying the baby for her mother and stepfather.

According to Dailystar, Ms. Jacky Edwards, 47 years old in Somerset (UK) had to have part of her uterus removed when giving birth to her 5th child 12 years ago. She was widowed at 40 years old and never thought of having more children. But in 2013, she met Paul, 48 years old and that man completely changed her thinking and her life.

The couple fell in love, got married and decided to have a baby. They looked for a surrogate and visited many fertility clinics in London but were rejected because Jacky could no longer produce eggs.

Jacky's eldest daughter, Katherine, who already had two children at the time, offered to carry the baby for her mother. After signing a contract with a lawyer and agreeing to receive £1,000 a month in child support during her pregnancy, Katherine was officially injected with her stepfather's sperm.

Katherine was accompanied by both her husband and her parents to each prenatal visit. She gave birth to a healthy baby, Caspian, at the end of May.

"It was really a magical moment. We looked at our son and pinched ourselves to remind ourselves that this was not a dream," said Jacky.

Katherine added: "I know if I don't do this, my mother will have a hard time finding a surrogate."

When Caspian is older, Jacky will tell him how he was made and show him the pictures she and her daughter Katherine have kept.

"My son will know where he came from. Four people created him in a circle of love," said Jacky.
