The mission assigned to the ship also carries many responsibilities and noble purposes.

Speaking of efficiency and energy, the following ship will utilize only sunlight, wind and hydrogen to operate and travel around the world for 6 years.

Called Energy Observer, the vessel is essentially a multi-compartment, high-speed yacht powered by solar panels, wind turbines, and a hydrogen fuel regeneration system. Captain Jerome Delafosse, a researcher and professional diver, and Victorien Erussard, a skilled yachtsman and naval officer, both hail from France, and were chosen to accompany them on this experiential journey.

"In the past, humans traveled here and there to explore and conquer new lands, creating more and more benefits for life. With Energy Observer, we want to continue that relentless mission of humanity, while also conveying the message of a green future around the world," said Delaafosse.

Designed and built by a team of architects, engineers and marine experts, the ship is not only incredibly efficient but also completely autonomous in its energy recovery. Natural wind power and decarbonized seawater hydrogen used for power are unique features of the ship, making it the world’s first hydrogen-powered ship. These types of energy are also environmentally friendly and inexpensive.

Energy Observer will travel through 50 countries and stop at 101 different locations with the aim of finding the most effective measures to deal with current environmental problems. It is not just a simple ship, but also plays the role of a creative communication model promoting the protection of the living environment on Earth. It has two missions: testing energy technology in experimental environments as well as in extreme weather conditions, and at the same time exploring around the world, discovering more aspects of promoting environmental conservation./.
