Son of late artist Hoang Dung shares about his first role in the movie 'Street in the Village'
The role of a district police officer assigned to Tan Xuan commune in the movie "Street in the Village" marked the first time Hoang Duong - son of the late artist Hoang Dung - appeared on the small screen.
Hoang Duong was born in 1999 and has just graduated from the Actors class of Hanoi Academy of Theatre and Cinema. After graduating, he applied for an internship at Hanoi Drama Theater - where his father, People's Artist Hoang Dung, has devoted more than 40 years.
Sharing about his first role in the film "Pho trong lang", Hoang Duong revealed: "In response to the television audience's feedback that the police force in Tan Xuan commune was somewhat lacking in manpower, the film director decided to add two more police officers from the district to reinforce the force. I was very lucky to take on that role."

Hoang Duong said that he had just started filming the first few days, and then the whole crew had a break before the next scenes were filmed.
"The first time I was on set as an actor, I was quite nervous and tense, but above all, I was excited because I got to work with a professional crew. Filming with me were actors from previous courses at the Hanoi Academy of Theatre and Cinema. Before that, at the faculty, we had met and talked, so the filming went relatively smoothly."
When asked about feeling pressured by the great achievements his father had made, Hoang Duong confided: "When my father had not passed away and was still teaching at school, I sometimes felt a little pressured, but now I feel more proud. I am happy that my father is still remembered and loved by many people, so I want to be worthy of being his son even more."

Hoang Duong had no intention of following his father's career until his senior year of high school. Before entering high school, even going on stage to participate in the class's performance made the 1999-born boy hesitate.
It was not until grade 11 that he changed his mind when he re-enacted literary skits as required by the subject: "At that time, the thought arose in my mind: Ah, I can do it, so why don't I try, I also have my father's support. If I become an actor, I will have both a teacher at school and a teacher at home, I am lucky to have such a good environment to develop, why don't I choose it?".

Hoang Duong also said that when watching him act, many people think that he has some similarities to his father, but he himself does not realize this: "I wonder what I resemble, why I don't realize it. Maybe it's in my blood."
In the family, Hoang Duong is very close to his father. The father and son spend a lot of time sharing and confiding about their careers and life. Artist Hoang Dung also took his son to the theater when Hoang Duong was very young.
Because of that, his passing has left a big void: "At first, when my father passed away, everyone in the family couldn't mentally accept that he had gone so far. Until now, sometimes I still think my father is just working. Because in the past, he often had business trips that lasted 2-3 months before coming back. Every time I go online and see scenes my father acted in, I don't dare to watch them again because the more I watch, the sadder and more I miss him."

Hoang Duong shared that, for now, he is applying to the Hanoi Drama Theater to intern and work with his uncles, aunts, brothers and sisters, thereby gaining more experience after the profession. He also hopes that in the new year, he will have more opportunities to try his hand and gradually be accepted by the audience.
