Police investigate group that made clip mocking national exam

On the afternoon of July 5, news from the Thua Thien - Hue Provincial Police said they were investigating and clarifying the motives of a group of young people in Hue who created a clip to mock the 2016 National High School Exam.

Previously, on the evening of July 3, a 3 minute 27 second clip was spread on networks such as Facebook, YouTube... and received thousands of likes and shares.

In the clip, a group calling themselves Pootv conducted quick interviews with candidates who had just finished taking the national high school exams.

Nguyen Huy - the host in the clip - asked the interviewer about his comments on this year's exam, how he did the test, and how he felt?

The interviewees all introduced themselves as students of high schools in Hue City, and answered in a mocking manner, even using vulgar and offensive words.

Among the answers are: "The exam is clear, clean, the exam room is airy and especially the teacher is very sexy, making it impossible for me to concentrate"; "This year's exam is quite difficult to understand, if you read it once you definitely won't understand the question, but if you read it many times you still won't understand it"; "The score is not important to me, what's important is the score"...

Dr. Pham Van Hung, Director of the Department of Education and Training of Thua Thien - Hue Province, said that immediately after watching this clip, on July 5, the Department sent a document to the Thua Thien - Hue Provincial Police requesting coordination to find the people in this clip. Thereby, they will investigate the reason and purpose of the above group when making the clip.

Mr. Hung also said that on July 5, the Department sent an official dispatch to all high schools and continuing education centers in Hue City, requiring school principals to invite all homeroom teachers and school union secretaries to identify whether the people appearing in the clip are students of their school or not.

Also on the afternoon of July 5, Thua Thien - Hue Provincial Police said they had verified the identity of a person in the clip and invited this person to the police station to assist in the investigation.
