Police investigate case of 3-year-old boy abused and locked in freezer
Ha Nam Province Police said they are investigating a case in which a 3-year-old boy was allegedly abused and locked in a freezer in Nhan Chinh Commune, Ly Nhan District, Ha Nam Province. Fortunately, the child was discovered by his family and taken to the emergency room in time, and is currently not in danger of his life.
The suspect is Nguyen Truong Giang (born in 1997), a neighbor of the victim's family. Currently, Giang has been arrested by the Criminal Police Department of Ha Nam Province Police in an emergency to clarify the case.
According to initial information, on the morning of August 13, the child went to a neighbor's house to play, but by the afternoon he had not returned, so his family was panicked and went looking for him. After checking the security camera, the family opened the refrigerator and discovered the child in the freezer and immediately took him to the hospital for emergency treatment.

According to a source from the National Children's Hospital, at around 11:15 p.m. on August 13, the Emergency Department of Poison Control (National Children's Hospital) received a 3-year-old boy transferred from the Ha Nam Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital with a diagnosis of respiratory failure, hypothermia, and head, face, and neck trauma.
Immediately upon receiving the patient, the doctors provided emergency treatment, performed additional tests to determine brain and cervical spine injuries, and consulted with trauma and neurosurgery specialists.
Fortunately, the child's current physical injuries are not severe and his health has gradually stabilized.
However, the child's head was still swollen, there was bleeding and scratches on the head, face and neck. In addition, the patient's tongue was also swollen, making it difficult to eat and drink.
