Hanoi Police officially completes 'blockbuster' deal with Filip Nguyen
(Baonghean.vn) - Hanoi Police have completed a "blockbuster" deal with Filip Nguyen. With a 3-year contract with this overseas Vietnamese player, the police team shows its ambition to win the championship in the 2023 season.
The Hanoi Police Club homepage has just confirmed that it has "completed the procedures to recruit overseas Vietnamese goalkeeper Filip Nguyen. The goalkeeper born in 1992 will sign a 3-year contract with the police team". He can debut in phase 2 of theV-League 2023.
At 1:00 p.m. today (June 29), Filip Nguyen is expected to be in Hanoi to complete the contract signing and join the police team.

Filip Nguyen is considered the Vietnamese player with the best form abroad. At the age of 31, he still shows his top class with excellent performances in the Czech Republic national championship and European Cup with Slovakia in the last 3 seasons.
On this return trip to Vietnam, besides his professional goals, the 31-year-old goalkeeper also wants to "learn about the culture and life in his homeland", quoted from the Czech Republic's Sport.cz newspaper.
And to help him do that job well, the new team has found a Vietnamese tutor for him. “Filip Nguyen will return to Vietnam on June 29 to sign the contract. The team will hire a Vietnamese teacher and provide accommodation for the goalkeeper and his family,” Hanoi Police announced on their homepage. In addition, they also left open the opportunity to sign a new contract with him, although the contract between the two sides is quite long compared to the general level of V.League.

Filip Nguyen was born in 1992, his father is Vietnamese and his mother is Czech. He grew up at Sparta Prague's youth academy. The Vietnamese goalkeeper played in the 2021/2022 UEFA Europa Conference League qualifying round when Slovacko Club had a match against Lokomotiv Plovdiv.
Filip Nguyen was once called up to the Czech Republic National Team to prepare for the 2022 World Cup qualifiers. However, he was not used, so the goalkeeper born in 1992 can still wear the Vietnamese national team jersey in the near future.
With the deal to recruit Vietnam's top goalkeeper, Hanoi Police will likely liquidate some of their goalkeeper positions and give top priority to Bui Tien Dung. Even Patrick Le Giang will have difficulty finding a place as each team only has one overseas Vietnamese player./.
