Ky Son police prosecuted the case of selling pregnant woman for 140 million VND

(Baonghean.vn) -The police of Ky Son district, Nghe An province, have just issued a decision to prosecute the criminal case, prosecuting the defendant Moong Thi Ha, born in 1969, residing in La Ngan village, Chieu Luu commune, Ky Son district, for the crime of "Human trafficking".

According to the investigation results of the authorities, in early September 2017, Moong Thi Ha, born in 1969, residing in La Ngan village, Chieu Luu commune, Ky Son district, learned that Ms. Luong Thi Thanh Ha, born in 2000, residing in Noong O village, Huu Lap commune, Ky Son district, was looking for a job.

Moong Thi Ha approached and called Ms. Luong Thi Thanh Ha many times to introduce her to work as a textile worker in Bac Ninh, but in fact, this subject colluded with her daughter, Oc Thi Long, who is currently married and living in China, to find a way to trick and sell Ms. Luong Thi Thanh Ha to China.

By means of deception and lies, promising to find a stable job with a high salary, Moong Thi Ha made Ms. Luong Thi Thanh Ha listen and believe her. Ms. Luong Thi Thanh Ha also discussed with Ms. Ha that she was pregnant.

Knowing this, Oc Thi Long still agreed with her mother to "buy" both Luong Thi Thanh Ha and the fetus in her womb for 140 million VND (in which, according to the agreement between Long and her mother, the fetus was worth 20 million VND and the mother was worth 120 million VND).

According to Moong Thi Ha, if the sale and transportation were successful, Long would raise both mother and child, wait until she gave birth, then sell the child first, and then take care of and sell the mother.

On September 25, Moong Thi Ha called Luong Thi Thanh Ha to come to the suspect's house in La Ngan village to sign a contract and advance 2 million VND as a guarantee. At 10 p.m. the same day, while Moong Thi Ha was taking a bus to take Luong Thi Thanh Ha to China to sell, she was discovered and arrested by the working group of Ky Son District Police in coordination with the Border Guard.

At the investigation agency, Moong Thi Ha confessed to all her crimes. Currently, Ky Son District Police have completed the file to handle the subject according to the provisions of the law.
