(Baonghean.vn) - The Criminal Police Department (Nghe An Police) has just presided over and coordinated with relevant units to successfully crack a case, arresting two especially dangerous wanted criminals who had been hiding for 22 years in Laos.
The Criminal Police Department's working group (Nghe An Police) has just extradited two especially dangerous wanted criminals arrested in Laos to Vinh city after 22 years on the run.
The two arrested subjects include: Luong Van Bun (born in 1981), permanent residence in Kim Da commune, Tuong Duong district, wanted for the crime of "Murder" and Le Van Dien (born in 1968), permanent residence in Binh Chuan commune, Con Cuong district, wanted for the crime of "Illegal trading of narcotics and harboring illegal use of narcotics".

Previously, in 2002, due to a land dispute, Luong Van Bun used a gun to shoot and kill a man living in the same village. After committing the crime, he took his wife and children and fled to Laos through illegal routes. As for Le Van Dien, after learning that his accomplices in the same case of "Illegal drug trafficking and harboring illegal drug use" were arrested, he also fled, avoiding the arrest of the authorities.
During their time living in Laos, the two subjects met and got to know each other. To conceal their identities, both subjects changed their names, frequently changed their residence, and lived in remote mountainous areas with low population density to avoid detection by authorities.

To fight and arrest the two especially dangerous wanted subjects, the Criminal Police Department reported to the Provincial Police leadership to establish a special project, sending experienced detectives to Laos many times to verify and arrest them.
After a period of synchronous application of professional measures, on April 4, 2024 in Vientiane city (Laos), under the direction of the Provincial Police Department, the Criminal Police Department of Nghe An Police presided over and coordinated with the Department of Professional Affairs of the Ministry of Public Security, the Lao Police and related units to crack the case, successfully arresting 2 subjects quickly and safely, to the surprise of the subjects and local people.
Currently, the Criminal Police Department is consolidating records and handling the subjects according to legal regulations.
