Working as a gold miner and panner in the border area of Que Phong district, Luong Duc Nguyen was familiar with the area. He bought 6 heroin cakes and thousands of synthetic drug pills to sell in the northern provinces and cities.
At about 7:00 a.m. on June 1, Thai Hoa Town Police controlled and arrested Luong Duc Nguyen (born in 1972, residing in Tan Long Ward, Thai Nguyen City, Thai Nguyen Province) when he was preparing to take a passenger bus, carrying drugs from Thai Hoa Town to the northern provinces for consumption.
At the scene, police seized 6 heroin cakes, 6,000 synthetic drug pills and 1 sharp knife.

Previously, through the investigation, Thai Hoa Town Police discovered a man with many suspicious signs related to drugs. Using professional measures, the authorities identified the subject as Luong Duc Nguyen, residing in Thai Nguyen province, working as a gold miner in Que Phong district.
Originally a drug addict, he had two previous convictions for drug-related crimes and is still "back to his old ways".

Accordingly, Luong Duc Nguyen bought drugs in large quantities from the border area of Que Phong district to the northern provinces and cities for consumption. During the process of transporting drugs, the subject rented hotels or motels as shelters; always carried weapons with him to deal with the police force.
Considering the seriousness of the case, Thai Hoa Town Police have established a special project to combat and destroy the above-mentioned inter-provincial drug trafficking ring.
Persistently following the subject's movements, on May 30, 2024, the Task Force received information that Luong Duc Nguyen would go from Thai Nguyen province to Thai Hoa town (Nghe An), then rent a car to the border area of Que Phong district to get the "goods".

At about 7:00 a.m. on June 1, 2024, the authorities controlled and arrested Luong Duc Nguyen when he had just left the motel to prepare to catch a bus to the northern provinces.
At the police investigation agency (Thai Hoa town police), Luong Duc Nguyen initially admitted his crime.
The case is currently under investigation and expansion.
