Nghe An police step up the implementation of the 50-day and night peak period of issuing electronic identification accounts to foreigners
Implementing the direction of the Ministry of Public Security, together with the national police force, Nghe An Provincial Police have been and are continuing to deploy a 50-day and night peak period to issue electronic identification accounts to foreigners in the province.
The campaign runs from July 1 to August 19, 2025.
According to records in recent days, the Immigration Department of Nghe An Provincial Police has had a large number of foreigners coming to submit procedures for level 2 electronic identification accounts (VNeID).

To meet the growing demand, the Fruit RoomThe Immigration Department has urgently prepared material conditions, technical equipment, connected the system, assigned staff to take on tasks and organized overtime on Saturdays and Sundays with the motto "work until the end of the work, not until the end of the day" to provide maximum support to foreigners.
Present at the Immigration Department waiting for her turn, Ms. Jennylyn Alcoriza Bohol (Filipino nationality) currently working at Hung Huy Education and Training Joint Stock Company, Truong Vinh ward, Nghe An province expressed her satisfaction with the process of making electronic identification.

Ms. Jennylyn Alcoriza Bohol shared: “I learned about the peak campaign from the media, from the announcement of the unit I am working for and the Truong Vinh Ward Police. I arrived at noon, although it was a bit crowded, the officers were very enthusiastic, willing to support and explain in detail the necessary documents and records so that the interpreters could fully convey them. I and other foreigners living in the area are extremely happy that from now on, we can conduct administrative transactions in an electronic environment as conveniently as Vietnamese people."
Buabeng Eric Amissah, a Ghanaian national, has lived and worked at the E-Dynamic English Center in Vinh Loc Ward, Nghe An Province for many years, but this is the first time he has applied for an electronic identification.
He happily said: “I know that from July 1, 2025, the Vietnamese Government has issued a new policy for foreigners living and working in Vietnam like us, to be facilitated to carry out administrative procedures easily like a Vietnamese citizen, and to have their rights and legitimate interests protected while living and working in Vietnam.
When I came to do the procedures at the Immigration Department of Nghe An Provincial Police, the officers worked very quickly, conveniently, enthusiastically guided and created the best conditions, I felt very satisfied.

To effectively implement the plan to open a 50-day peak period to issue electronic identification for foreigners, the Immigration Department, Provincial Police has proactively prepared necessary equipment and conditions, coordinated with professional units of the Provincial Police, the Immigration Department - Ministry of Public Security to install, connect the transmission system, and install electronic software in a timely manner to serve the work of issuing electronic identification accounts for foreigners.
From July 1, during the peak period up to now, the Immigration Department, Provincial Police has received and proposed to issue electronic identification cards to 184 foreigners with temporary residence cards who are working, visiting relatives in the province.

It can be seen that the issuance of electronic identification accounts helps foreigners easily carry out administrative procedures online, reducing time, paperwork and direct contact, while ensuring authenticity and protecting legitimate rights during their stay and work in Vietnam. In addition, the issuance of electronic identification accounts to foreigners will make an important contribution to the process of administrative procedure reform and digital transformation, creating favorable conditions to effectively serve the Government's goals in the national digital transformation process.
