Nghe An Police: Maintain security and order for people to enjoy Spring and celebrate Tet
(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of February 5 (the first day of the Lunar New Year), Nghe An Police held a meeting on the security and order situation in the area on the first day of the new year.
Accordingly, implementing the leadership and direction of the Provincial People's Committee, the Ministry of Public Security, and the Provincial Police, on the night of the 30th and the first day of the Lunar New Year, Nghe An police forces in units and localities actively went to the field, urgently carrying out tasks to serve the people to enjoy the Spring Festival.

Nghe An police deployed 14 working groups to inspect the implementation of the on-duty regime, compliance with the People's Public Security regulations and the work of ensuring security, order, preventing and combating violations of firecrackers on New Year's Eve in key areas; increased nearly 1,600 police officers and soldiers from units and localities to communes, wards and towns to coordinate in preventing and combating firecrackers, ensuring security and order. Thereby, propagandizing and mobilizing people to voluntarily hand over more than 50kg of firecrackers on the afternoon of the 30th of Tet.
The work of grasping and handling the situation on key routes, fields and areas; closely managing and monitoring subjects with signs of causing insecurity and disorder in the area; protecting key targets, political and cultural activities has also been seriously carried out by the police of various units and achieved many results.
In particular, this year Nghe An province organized a spring art program and a fireworks display at Ho Chi Minh Square, so the number of people participating in traffic before, during and after New Year's Eve was high.
However, thanks to proactively doing a good job of regulating and diverging traffic to ensure traffic safety, there was no congestion, serving people's travel conveniently. The people's Tet and Spring activities in the areas at entertainment and recreation spots on New Year's Eve and the first day of Tet were also ensured...

In the coming days, the forces in Nghe An Police will continue to grasp and handle the situation on key routes, fields and areas; actively and proactively advise Party committees and authorities at all levels to direct the stable resolution of emerging security and order issues right at the grassroots level; especially the work of absolutely protecting the safety of key targets and activities of Party, State and provincial leaders visiting and wishing a happy New Year in the area.
In addition, continue to effectively carry out the peak of crime suppression, ensuring security and order, public order and safety during and after Tet; Proactively prevent and combat criminal activities and social evils that often occur during Tet such as intentional injury, robbery, property theft, gambling... Protect the safety of New Year activities, especially people's Tet and Spring activities in public places, festivals, areas where spiritual activities take place, serving people to travel safely and conveniently...
