Nghe An Police: Commendation for the G0413 Special Task Force
(Baonghean.vn) -On May 6th, the leaders of the Nghe An Provincial Police Department held an awards ceremony for the G0413 Special Task Force for successfully investigating and solving the murder and robbery case that occurred in Block 9, Ha Huy Tap Ward, Vinh City on April 24th. The victim was Nguyen The Thi (born in 1983), residing in Hamlet 8, Nghi My Commune, Nghi Loc District, and a worker at the Vinh City Urban Environment Company.
After 8 days of establishing a special investigation case, the Criminal Investigation Department of the Nghe An Provincial Police, in coordination with the Vinh City Police and several other professional units, investigated and clarified the "murder and robbery" acts of Ho Manh Cuong (born in 1989), residing in Hung Binh ward, and Ho Van Linh (born in 1990), residing in Block 6, Cua Nam ward, Vinh City. Evidence seized included one Samsung Galaxy phone, one pair of scissors, and one motorbike.
The suspects are Ho Van Linh and Ho Manh Cuong.
During questioning, the two suspects confessed that on the night of April 24, 2013, Cuong and Linh conspired to rob someone. While riding their motorbike on Mai Hac De Street, Ha Huy Tap Ward, Vinh City, they saw Mr. Nguyen The Thi sitting by the roadside talking on his phone. The two suspects threatened him and stole his phone. When Mr. Thi resisted, the two suspects used scissors they had concealed on their person to stab him once in the neck before fleeing. Due to the severity of the wound, Mr. Thi died shortly afterward.
Despite the crime occurring late at night, with virtually no disturbances at the scene, and the complex relationships between the victims, the special investigation team, through the efforts of all participating units, quickly investigated and clarified the case, apprehended the perpetrator, and seized all the evidence.
The leaders of the Provincial Police and the leaders of Vinh City presented awards to the special task force.
