Speaking to Nghe An Newspaper reporters at noon on November 4, Major General Nguyen Huu Cau - Director of Nghe An Provincial Police said: In the process of verifying the incident related to information about 39 people dying in a Container in the UK, the Provincial Police have decided to initiate criminal proceedings; arrest, summon, and detain 8 related subjects to serve the investigation.

Regarding the act of organizing and brokering for others to flee abroad or stay abroad illegally, Nghe An Provincial Police have recently actively fought against this type of crime. In 2019, Nghe An Provincial Police's Investigation Security Agency prosecuted 9 cases, 15 defendants for organizing and brokering for others to flee abroad or stay abroad illegally.
From September 2019 to now, the unit has prosecuted 3 cases and 5 defendants.
Meanwhile, in Ha Tinh, the provincial police have also prosecuted and arrested two suspects for investigation related to this crime...
In another development, on October 23, the bodies of 39 people, including 31 men and 8 women, were discovered in a container at the Waterglade Industrial Park (UK). Essex County Police in the UK confirmed that the victims were Vietnamese citizens, but have not yet released their identities.
