Nghe An Police: Training on rescue and relief operations on waterways.

(Baonghean.vn) -On the morning of May 14th, the Nghe An Provincial Police Department held the opening ceremony for a training course on motorboat operation and rescue operations on waterways for the Nghe An Police force in 2013.

Colonel Lu Van Tuong delivered a speech at the training course.

The training course was attended by 75 officers from various departments of the Provincial Police. Over the course of 10 days, the trainees studied the theory of several legal documents on inland waterway safety; the structure and operating principles of motorboats and common repairs; motorboat driving techniques; general awareness of rescue operations; the organization and operation of search and rescue agencies; rescue procedures; rescue situations; first aid for victims on the river… In the practical part, the trainees received direct instruction from instructors on the techniques and operation of equipment, how to control motorboats on waterways when rescuing drifting property; rescuing victims on waterways…

The training aims to raise awareness of inland waterway traffic laws and improve the proficiency of officers and soldiers in operating waterway vessels for operational purposes, combat, flood control, search and rescue, and handling administrative violations in the field of inland waterway traffic.
