Nghe An police set up a special task force to handle alcohol concentration violations.
Nghe An Provincial Police have established a special task force, together with the Traffic Police force of the whole province, to simultaneously patrol, control, inspect, and handle cases of alcohol concentration violations when participating in traffic.
This content is to implement Official Dispatch No. 81/CD-TTg dated August 20, 2024 of the Prime Minister on ensuring traffic safety and order during the National Day holiday on September 2 and the peak month of traffic safety for students going to school.

From 7:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on August 24, 2024, at the traffic checkpoint on Lenin Street, Vinh City, hundreds of cars and motorbikes were ordered to stop for inspection by the Special Task Force of the Provincial Traffic Police Department.

Upon inspection, 10 motorbikes were temporarily detained by the Special Task Force. Most of the owners of these vehicles violated alcohol concentration.

Instead of obeying the stop and inspection orders, some drivers accelerated, swerved, and turned around to run away in an attempt to escape the inspection post.
However, just a few minutes later, the fleeing cases were intercepted, checked and handled by the traffic police.

In just one night of the first day of operation, the Special Task Force and the Traffic Police of Vinh City Police recorded 13 cases of alcohol concentration violations and temporarily detained 13 motorbikes.
