On May 9, the family took Comrade Kien to a hospital in Hanoi for better treatment. Meanwhile, Comrade Kien is still being monitored and treated at Nghe An General Hospital.
"This was a simple traffic accident. However, after the incident, information appeared that the traffic police officer signaled to stop the motorbike driven by Mr. Kien because he was not wearing a helmet and was driving at high speed, which is incorrect," said Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Nam Hong, adding that if the traffic police want to stop a violator at night, they must use headlights to signal the driver to slow down, and cannot signal with a stick like during the day.
The cause of the accident is being investigated and clarified by the Criminal Police Department of the Provincial Police.
