Nghe An Police: Looking for victims in case of fraud in labor export to Australia and Korea

To serve the investigation of the criminal case, the Investigation Police Agency of Nghe An Provincial Police has Official Dispatch No. 2074/CSHS-D5 dated July 5, 2023, announcing the search for victims of the criminal case: “Fraudulent appropriation of propertyand "Abuse of trust to appropriate property" in the form of fraud in completing procedures for labor export to Australia and Korea occurred in 2007 - 2008 in Nghe An province.

Specifically, in 2007, Pham Viet Giap (born in 1973), residing in Trung Thanh hamlet, Hung Dong commune, Vinh city, Nghe An province, Director of Nghe An Construction Steel Joint Stock Company; Pham Thi Thu (born in 1963), residing in block 12, Nguyen Trai ward, Ha Dong district, Hanoi (currently residing in hamlet 1, Dien Phuc commune, Dien Chau district, Nghe An province) and Trieu Thuy Quynh (born in 1973), residing in group 7, Yen Hoa ward, Cau Giay, Hanoi consulted, recruited and received money from workers to complete procedures for exporting labor to Australia through the International Human Resources and Trade Supply Company (SONA Company).

During the procedure, the worker was organized to go for a health check at Thang Long Private General Hospital in Thanh Tri District, Hanoi City. After paying the money and having a health check, the worker was not allowed to go to Australia to work as promised and committed.

In 2007-2008, Pham Viet Giap continued with the following brokers:

- Nguyen Thi Phuong Mai (born in 1965), former teacher at Quang Trung 2 Kindergarten, residing in block 15, Quang Trung ward, Vinh city, Nghe An province.

- Trieu Thuy Quynh (born in 1973), residing at group 7, Yen Hoa ward, Cau Giay district, Hanoi.

- Nguyen Huu Vinh (born in 1959), former lecturer of the Faculty of Literature, Vinh University, residing at 64 Nguyen Du Street, Block 14, Ben Thuy Ward, Vinh City, Nghe An Province. Currently residing in Phan Village, Hung Tan Commune, Hung Nguyen District, Nghe An Province.

- Khong Van Sau (born in 1981), residing in Xay Dung village, Thien Ke commune, Binh Xuyen district, Vinh Phuc province.

- Le Hong Khoa (born in 1968), residing at No. 10, Lane 21, Kim Ma Ward, Ba Dinh District, Hanoi;

- Nguyen Quan Khai (born in 1962), residing at 32/108, Cat Cut, Le Chan, Hai Phong.

- Nguyen Thi Chung (also known as Dang Thi Hien), (born in 1981), permanent residence at 71/85 Nguyen Cong Tru, Hang Kenh ward, Le Chan district, Hai Phong city.

- Vu Hong Diep (born in 1961), residing at house number 20, lane 44, Quan Nhan, Trung Hoa, Cau Giay, Hanoi.

- Hoang Dao (born in 1957), residing in Phuong Cau village, Phuong Lieu commune, Que Vo, Bac Ninh.

- Nguyen Hai Ly (born in 1957), residing in O Me village, Hung Dao commune, Tu Ky, Hai Duong.

- Tran Trong Huyen (born in 1962), residing in Kieu Ky agricultural service collective housing area, Kieu Ky commune, Gia Lam, Hanoi.

- Ta Thi Dung (born in 1960), residing in cluster 5, Duyen Thai commune, Thuong Tin, Hanoi.

- Pham Thi Quy (born in 1980), residing in Hau Bong village, Quang Minh commune, Gia Loc, Hai Duong.

The organization consulted and processed procedures for workers to work at the steel factory of POSCO Vietnam Co., Ltd. in Ba Ria - Vung Tau province and then go to work in Korea. During the procedure, the workers were organized to learn welding at the Vocational College and the Employment Center of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province. After paying money to Pham Viet Giap and the above brokers, the victims were not able to go to Korea to work as promised and committed.

Therefore, the Nghe An Provincial Police Department informs the public that anyone who is a victim in the above criminal case should contact the Nghe An Provincial Police Department, address: Hamlet 13A, Nghi Kim Commune, Vinh City, Nghe An Province to report and work.
