Nghe An police looking for victims of Thang Long multi-level marketing case of 'swindling' 700 billion VND

(Baonghean.vn)- With the authorization of the Ministry of Public Security's Investigation Police Agency, the Department of Investigation Police on Economic Management Order and Positions (PC46), Nghe An Provincial Police are investigating "fraudulent appropriation of property" at Thang Long Franchise Company Limited (Hanoi) that occurred in Nghe An.

On May 30, the Ministry of Public Security's Investigation Police Agency issued a decision to prosecute and temporarily detain Pham Ngoc Tuan (Director of Thang Long Franchise Company Limited), Le Van Quang (Chairman of Thang Long Group) and Vu Dinh Hung (Deputy Director of the Company) for the crime of "Fraudulent appropriation of property". The fourth defendant prosecuted for the same act is Hoang Hai Yen (Chief Accountant of the Company).

It is known that Thang Long Franchise Company Limited has its head office in Trung Hoa - Nhan Chinh New Urban Area, Trung Hoa Ward, Cau Giay District, Hanoi City. This company was granted a certificate of registration for multi-level marketing activities on December 26, 2014 and had up to 21 agents nationwide with hundreds of thousands of people participating in the network.

Accordingly, Thang Long Franchise Company Limited has lured tens of thousands of people to join its multi-level marketing network and taken advantage of multi-level marketing to collect about 700 billion VND from participants, which up to now has not been able to be paid back.

Through sales programs, pyramid-based rewards, and 1-year payment commitment... with sales programs like "Thang Long Year of Fireworks". Meanwhile, the amount of money they earn and receive as rewards is very low, not as declared by Thang Long Franchise Company Limited.

Currently, the Investigation Police Agency of Nghe An Province, Department PC46 is investigating the case of "fraudulent appropriation of property" that occurred at Thang Long Franchise Company Limited according to Investigation Delegation Decision 70/C46-P11 dated July 11, 2017 of the Investigation Police Agency of the Ministry of Public Security.

The Investigation Police Agency of Nghe An Province requires distributors and individuals with registered permanent residence and accommodation in Nghe An who have signed business cooperation contracts with Thang Long Franchise Company Limited to come directly to Department PC46 (Nghe An Police) as soon as possible to report and provide relevant documents to clarify the amount of money appropriated, the behavior and crime of fraud and property appropriation of Thang Long Franchise Company Limited.

Therefore, whoever is the victim should come to PC46 Department (Nghe An Police) at address: Hamlet 19, Lenin Avenue, Nghi Phu Commune, Vinh City, to report for resolution.
