Regarding the fight against crimes related to fireworks, 161 cases, 227 criminals and violators of fireworks were arrested; 3.45 tons of fireworks were seized. Typically, in just 2 days (December 24 and 25, 2023), Nghi Loc District Police presided over and coordinated with relevant units to eradicate 2 rings illegally buying and transporting large quantities of fireworks from abroad to Nghe An, arresting 6 subjects and seizing nearly 2 tons of fireworks.
Regarding the fight against crime and social evils, 19 cases and 130 criminals and violators of gambling laws were discovered and arrested, and the gambling amount of more than 100 billion VND was clarified. Notably, the Criminal Police Department presided over and coordinated with professional units of the Ministry of Public Security and local police to eradicate a gambling ring using inter-provincial lottery numbers, arresting 14 subjects, with a total gambling amount of more than 200 billion VND...
