Nghe An police returned many valuable assets buried in mud to people in flood-affected areas.

While assisting people in overcoming the consequences of the historic flood in Ky Son district (old), the Working Group of the Mobile Police Department (Nghe An Provincial Police) discovered and promptly returned many valuable assets buried under layers of mud after the flood.

Specifically, on the morning of July 31, while participating in cleaning up mud and soil in Xop Tu village, My Ly commune, a working group of 56 officers and soldiers led by Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Son - Deputy Head of the Mobile Police Department as Team Leader discovered a 200,000 VND bill and a 5-tael gold necklace (worth nearly 60 million VND). After verification, the working group handed over the property to Ms. Lay Thi Loi, residing in Xop Tu village, My Ly commune.

On the same afternoon, while assisting in digging up soil and rocks at the home of Ms. Vi Thi Huong, residing in Xang Tren village, My Ly commune, the working group continued to discover a handbag containing many gold rings and necklaces (totaling 10 taels, worth about 118 million VND) and 3 million VND in cash. All the assets were later returned to Ms. Huong.

Moved when receiving their property back, Ms. Loi and Ms. Huong expressed their deep gratitude to the police force, not only for wholeheartedly helping people overcome the consequences of natural disasters but also for demonstrating a sense of responsibility, integrity and devotion to the people.

These are beautiful actions of officers and soldiers of the Mobile Police Department - Nghe An Police during the peak days of supporting people in flood-affected areas to overcome difficulties and soon stabilize their lives./.
