Nghe An Police: Launching a high-intensity campaign to combat crime.
(Baonghean.vn) - On October 2nd, the Nghe An Provincial Police held a conference to launch a campaign to prevent and combat property theft and robbery, combined with a summary of the campaign to attack and suppress organized crime; and a preliminary review of phase 1 of the campaign to attack and suppress human trafficking.

From the beginning of 2014 to the present, the Nghe An Provincial Police have proactively advised the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee on numerous directives to various sectors and levels to strengthen crime prevention and control, including theft and robbery. Units in the province have investigated and clarified 494 out of 737 theft cases, arresting and prosecuting 699 suspects; expanded investigations to clarify 107 theft cases that occurred before 2014; investigated and clarified 42 out of 90 robbery cases; and expanded investigations to clarify 35 robbery cases that occurred before 2014...
The fight against organized crime has yielded remarkable results; a comprehensive review of organized crime gangs and groups throughout the province has been completed, resulting in the dismantling of 3 gangs and 21 individuals; and the questioning, deterrence, and intervention of 2 gangs and 10 individuals exhibiting signs of organized crime to abandon their criminal intentions. The fight against human trafficking has been proactively coordinated by the Provincial Police with relevant agencies, organizations, and local authorities. During the two-month phase 1 of the intensified campaign, the Nghe An Provincial Police discovered and arrested 3 cases involving 3 individuals trafficking 11 women from Nghe An to China; and promptly detected and prevented 1 case of child trafficking.
In his directive, Colonel Nguyen Huu Cau, Deputy Director of the Provincial Police, requested that from now until the Lunar New Year, local police units should demonstrate strong determination and focus all their efforts on cracking down on theft and robbery; deploy forces systematically, with reasonable and specific plans and strategies; avoid coercion, leading questions, and torture; prevent wrongful convictions and ensure no criminals escape justice; local police units should strengthen patrols and crack down on all types of crime, arresting and severely punishing offenders; strengthen propaganda efforts to raise public awareness of self-protection of property; and investigative forces should conduct a thorough review of all theft and robbery suspects, criminal gangs, drug addicts, pawn shops, and individuals involved in receiving stolen property in the area...
