Nghe An police dismantled a drug trafficking ring transporting large quantities of drugs from abroad to Vietnam.
(Baonghean.vn) - Nguyen Dinh Thanh, the leader of a drug trafficking ring from abroad to Vietnam, was caught with 12,000 synthetic drug pills, a car and related evidence.
Recently, through the work of grasping the situation, Nghi Loc District Police and the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department of Nghe An Police discovered a ring of illegal drug trafficking and transportation of large quantities of drugs from abroad to Vietnam in Que Phong District (Nghe An) and then to the southern provinces for consumption.

During the verification, the police identified the leader of the above drug ring as Nguyen Dinh Thanh (born in 1997), residing in Tru Son commune, Do Luong district. To effectively combat the above drug ring, Nghi Loc district police and the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department of Nghe An police reported to the leaders of Nghe An provincial police to proposeestablish a special project to fight.
Nguyen Dinh Thanh is very cunning, making it difficult to fight against his criminal activities. It was determined that Thanh and Pham Xuan Chat (born in 1990), residing in Tru Son commune, Do Luong district, would move to Que Phong district to trade drugs with subjects across the border. From December 15, 2023 until the time of arrest, all movements of the two subjects were closely monitored by the Task Force.

In the early morning of December 23, on National Highway 16, in Chau Kim commune, Que Phong district, Nghi Loc district police, the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department of Nghe An police coordinated with Que Phong district police and related units to successfully break the case, arresting two subjects Nguyen Dinh Thanh and Pham Xuan Chat for the act of illegally transporting and trading drugs, seizing 12,000 synthetic drug pills, 1 car and related evidence.
