Achieve excellent results at work

In 2024, Nghe An Police will firmly implement the slogan of action "Building Nghe An Police to be truly clean, strong, disciplined, elite, modern, serving the people". The force has proactively advised and issued many strategic, creative documents, closely following reality, effectively mobilizing the combined strength of the political system, ensuring security in border, mountainous and ethnic areas, and stably resolving issues of religious security, disputes and complaints.

Over the past year, Nghe An has organized many major political, cultural and social events with the participation of high-ranking leaders, international guests and a large number of people. Nghe An Police, with a proactive and highly responsible spirit, has excellently ensured absolute safety for delegations of leaders, key targets and important events, contributing to maintaining security, creating a premise for the socio-economic development of the province in the new period.

In particular, synchronously deploying solutions to fight and prevent crime, reducing 23.6% of crimes against social order, solving 100% of very serious and extremely serious cases. A series of major cases were successfully solved, preventing the formation of organized crime of the "mafia" type.

In order to remove Nghe An from the list of drug-related localities as soon as possible, in 2024, Nghe An Police have implemented synchronous measures. Up to now, the model has been replicated in 284 communes and 7 districts that meet the criteria of being clean of drugs. In particular, the Provincial People's Committee has advised the Provincial People's Committee to issue the strategic project "Vinh City is clean of drugs" - an important turning point that creates a spread, contributing to comprehensively changing the situation of order and social security in the whole province and in Vinh City in particular. As a result, in 2024, more than 50 major rings were eliminated, nearly 950 cases were discovered and arrested, 1,250 subjects were arrested, and a large amount of drugs were seized, including more than 30 kg of heroin, 25 kg of synthetic drugs, nearly 500,000 synthetic drug pills, more than 20 kg of crystal meth, and 37 kg of marijuana.

In addition, the fight against economic crimes, corruption, and environmental crimes was directed resolutely with the motto "No forbidden areas, no exceptions, handling one case to warn the whole region, the whole field" handling over 4,000 cases, over 4,500 subjects, seizing evidence worth over 60 billion VND.

Building the image of dedicated police officers and soldiers close to the people

In 2024, Nghe An Police will continue to maintain its pioneering position in administrative reform (AR) of the People's Police force and the province. With breakthrough solutions and exemplary models in units and localities such as reception rooms, duty rooms, and document rooms, the Ministry of Public Security has surveyed and replicated them nationwide.

In addition, it has performed well as the standing agency of Project No. 06/CP. The Provincial Police Department has resolutely carried out digital transformation and administrative reform tasks, and has been commended by the Prime Minister as one of the typical localities nationwide for its creative implementation of the Project.

Nghe An Police also focused on ensuring traffic safety and fire prevention and rescue. Traffic accident prevention and control work was effective, reducing the number of cases compared to 2023. The Provincial Police successfully organized a provincial-level fire prevention and rescue drill at VSIP Industrial Park and won first prize overall in the regional round III held in Binh Dinh province.

One of the highlights of 2024 is the activities of Team 373, with nearly 10,500 patrols and more than 35,500 officers and soldiers participating. Thereby, nearly 320 cases, 540 subjects were detected and handled, and nearly 7,500 cases of traffic safety violations were handled. At the same time, the focus was on promoting the strength of the movement "All people protect national security". Models such as "Peaceful parishes and churches", "24 hours of experience" were commended and replicated nationwide by the Ministry of Public Security and the government.

In particular, in 2024, Nghe An Police consulted and prepared conditions to simultaneously organize the Launching Ceremony and parade of forces participating in protecting security and order at the provincial level and 20 districts and towns. This event created a vibrant atmosphere, spread strongly in the community and left a strong impression on the implementation results of the Provincial Police.

In addition to fighting crime, Nghe An Police also does a good job in social security, charity and gratitude. They have supported the construction of houses for the poor, donated 6.5 billion VND to the "Tet for the Poor" program. In particular, they donated more than 4 billion VND to timely support the Police and People of the Northern provinces affected by storm No. 3.

In 2024, Nghe An Police won many high prizes in competitions, competitions, sports events, and festivals organized by the Central Government, the Ministry of Public Security, and the province. With these outstanding achievements, Nghe An Police continued to affirm its position, having been awarded the Excellent Emulation Flag by the Government for 10 consecutive years and ranked first in the Public Security Reform Index in the entire Public Security Force for 9 consecutive years. In the past year, 596 collectives and 1,562 individuals were commended at all levels. Notably, on February 7, 2024, the President signed a decision to award Nghe An Police the title "Hero of the People's Armed Forces".

Proudly inheriting and promoting the glorious tradition of the Heroic Unit of the People's Armed Forces, in 2025, on the eve of Party congresses at all levels and major political and social events, the entire Party Committee and the Nghe An Public Security Force will continue to unite, be highly determined, and strive to overcome all difficulties and challenges. With a strong will, the unit will continue to make new marks with outstanding achievements and feats, worthy of being the sharp "sword" of the Party, a solid "steel shield" protecting the peace and happiness of the people in President Ho Chi Minh's homeland.
