Nghi Loc police arrested more than 200 criminals

(Baonghean.vn) - In 2017, Nghi Loc District Police arrested 184 criminals, 22 drug criminals, confiscated and returned more than 1 billion VND to the victims.

In 2017, Nghi Loc District Police investigated and solved 69/72 criminal cases, reaching a rate of 95.8%.

Accordingly, the Investigation Police Agency arrested 184 subjects, seized many vehicles and returned assets to the victims with a total value of more than 1 billion VND.

Notably, the unit successfully discovered Project 217T, arresting a gang that committed 5 thefts in the area; Project 717X, arresting 3 subjects who committed 3 thefts of workers' motorbikes at Nam Cam Industrial Park; Project 917T, arresting 2 subjects who committed 5 thefts at Catholic churches...

During the year, Nghi Loc District Police also discovered and arrested 16 cases and 22 subjects of drug crimes. Of these, 13 cases and 18 subjects were prosecuted; an increase of 3 cases and 1 subject compared to 2016.

The seized exhibits included 29.86 grams of heroin; 1,026.42 grams of crystal meth; 2 motorbikes, 6 mobile phones; 26.5 million VND and 480 Lao kip along with many items used to use and trade drugs./.
