Phu Tho police deny news that 10th grade male student made 4 girlfriends pregnant

Recently, information about the incident of "a male student (named Bui Tien D) of Phong Chau High School, Lam Thao District, Phu Tho Province having a relationship with 4 female students, causing all 4 female students to become pregnant" was released and quickly spread on social networks, then posted by a number of newspapers and electronic information sites, attracting public attention.

The Phu Tho Provincial Police electronic information portal today (May 8) said that, determining the sensitive nature of the case, Phu Tho Provincial Police coordinated with relevant agencies to quickly investigate and clarify, and initially concluded that the above content was inaccurate.

Accordingly, at Long Chau Sa High School, Mr. Quach Thanh Do - Principal of the school said: From 2018 to now, the school has had 4 female students drop out of school, of which 3 students are currently living in Son Vi commune and 1 student is living in Cao Xa commune, Lam Thao district, Phu Tho province.

A representative of the People's Committee of Son Vi commune said that among the 3 children living in Son Vi commune, Nguyen Thi Huyen T was determined to drop out of school due to difficult family circumstances, her father died early, and her mother was sick. During her time off school, T had a relationship with a young man born in 1999, living in zone 14, Ban Nguyen commune, Lam Thao district, Phu Tho.

On January 29, 2019, the two families held a wedding for the two children. However, at that time, T was only 16 years and 10 months old, so she was not old enough to register for marriage. After getting married, T lived with her husband's parents in zone 14, Ban Nguyen commune, Lam Thao district, Phu Tho. T herself confirmed that she had no romantic relationship with Bui Tien D.

Regarding the other two students out of the four who dropped out of Long Chau Sa High School, Nguyen Thi S and Cao Thuy L, the school determined that they dropped out due to difficult family circumstances. These two students themselves confirmed that they had no relationship with the male student in the above incident and had never been pregnant.

In the case of Nguyen Thi Bich H, she was absent from school on February 11, 2019 due to “family matters”. On April 17, 2019, H gave birth to a baby boy and registered his birth in Son Vi commune. The birth certificate did not show the father’s name.

Working with the biological father of the male student in the above rumored case, he confirmed that his son, Bui Tien D, confessed to having a love affair with H and becoming pregnant. After H gave birth, with the permission of H's family, he came to pick up H and her mother and brought them to his house where they have been living ever since.

The police determined that at the time Bui Tien D had sexual relations with Nguyen Thi Bich H, leading to H's pregnancy, D was under 16 years old and H was 14 years and 10 months old. Therefore, based on Clause 1, Article 145 of the 2015 Penal Code, amended and supplemented in 2017, D is not criminally responsible for this crime.

The young man born in 1999 had sexual relations with Nguyen Thi Huyen T, resulting in pregnancy, which is now about 6 months old. At that time, T was 16 years and 10 months old, while the young man was 19 years and 6 months old. Therefore, this young man is not criminally responsible according to the provisions of the 2015 Penal Code, amended and supplemented in 2017.

Thus, the information about this incident in recent times on some newspapers and social networking sites is completely false rumors. This incident once again warns that the spread of fake news on social networks and the inaccurate and unverified reporting of some newspapers have created a negative wave that has had a bad influence on public opinion, especially in the pedagogical environment and the security and order situation in the locality.
